Ceramic/clay/ pottery manufactory in Portland OR area?
Hi there!
Do you have any idea if there is a ceramic/ pottery manufactory in Portland Oregon area? I would like to work as a ceramist as I graduated the Academy of Fine Arts in this field.

The best way to find out is to search the online yellow pages for greenware/bisque in that area or call a paint your own pottery store in the area,they will usually be glad to help you get in touch with a destributor in your area. I use a few small home based greenware distributors in my area because they usually do a much better job setting each piece versus the ones that simply import from China.(there are no warnings on lead and other dangerous materials that will come from buying these pieces from places like that so you may be unknowingly putting yourself or your customers at risk.) I have been doing ceramics for about six years now and a good way to start making money is offer classes for a set price at a local public library and/or class projects at school, I make most of my profits doing Christmas and Mother's Day presents for a local middle school.
