What is the easiest way to remove burr's from a dogs coat?
I took the dogs to the field to run and 1 of them decided to run into a burr tree and get over 20 burrs inbedded in his coat, he is a shitzu with long hair , I have tried to remove the burrs with some tool for dogs that thin's their coat but havent had much success. Any ideas besides getting him shaved to get all the burrs out? I have cut a few out that seemed to cause him pain (near his face and eye) the others are near his butt and tight right to his skin on his belly and legs.
Time for a haircut.
