Which Dremel tool should I buy for my husband?
I have been researching the Dremel tool and there seem to be several. He had the basic model a couple of years ago but it got lost. He liked it fine but just used it for little things because he said the motor wasn't powerful enough to do much more. Now it seems they have some new models and I can't figure out which one to buy. Some have variable speeds, cordless and corded, routers, saws and flexible something or others!! I don't know which one to buy. My husband is an engineer and likes to fix things. Can someone please tell me which one I should buy? Thank you.
I have a dremel tool. I wouldn't trade it for anything. the two things that are really needed are flexible shaft and variable speed. Mine is the corded model and works just fine. If he is going to use it in the shop most of the time then the cordless model isn't really needed. If he is going to use it around the house doing other projects then the cordless might be nice. They also have kits of bits for various types of projects that he might do like wood carving or glass etching. Dremel usually has a nice display set up that shows what the different bits are for.
